DOES YOUR CHILD HAVE A PASSION FOR EVERYTHING SOCCER?
DOES HE OR SHE PLAY RECREATIONAL SOCCER BUT IS LOOKING TO TAKE HIS/HER SOCCER SKILLS & LOVE FOR THE GAME TO THE NEXT LEVEL?   IF YOU ANSWERED YES, WE HAVE THE PROGRAM FOR YOUR CHILD & YOU!
MAINE NOVAS TRAVEL PROGRAM

We are a Travel Club providing a Competitive Fall Soccer Program for the Youth of Waterville /Oakland and Central Maine towns that do not have their own Travel Program Teams age brackets start at U9 and goes to U14.*

This needs to be adjusted by 1 year so youngest player for fall must be born between August 1, 2008 and July 31, 2009.

Our goal is to support, encourage and assist area youth in reaching their developmental soccer skills through competitive Travel Soccer. This is accomplished by qualified coaches emphasizing a positive soccer learning experience, respect for coaches, team mates, opponents, referees and the rules of the game.

Practices and Games:   Teams hold training practices 1-2 times a week for 60-90 minutes in the evening starting in August.  Games are typically played within 60 minutes of Waterville.  The cost of the travel program is approximately $200 and scholarships are available.  A season, starting with August practices, is about 10 weeks long. There are also tournaments, end of the year Festivals, or State playoffs at the end of the season.

The Maine Novas has had the honor of hosting the U9 & U10 Girls and Boys Festival for Central and Northern Maine for over 10 years. It is a major undertaking and depends on all travel players families to volunteer to help during the Festival.
Online registration for Novas travel opens May 8, 2017. The link for registration is

 Our Mission:

WYSA is the home of the Waterville Recreational Soccer program and Maine Novas Soccer. Jointly we provide boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 15 with a soccer program which is appropriately competitive for their age and skill level. The program emphasizes the development of soccer skills, an understanding of the game, and the enjoyment which comes from playing the game at both a recreational and competitive level.

We have 400 plus soccer players from throughout Central Maine. Currently our players are from China, South China, Fairfield, Waterville, Oakland, Belgrade, Sidney, Augusta, Readfield, Winthrop, Winslow, Skowhegan, Norridgewock, Benton, Canaan, Clinton, Hinckley, East Vassalboro, St Albans, Pittsfield, Plymouth, Albion, Unity, Rome, Palermo, Monmouth and Belfast. The Maine Novas maintain affiliations with Soccer Maine, (United Soccer Federation of Maine (USFM)), USSF and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA).

WYSA’s purpose is to develop, promote, support and assist in the growth and development of instructional and recreational soccer programs for youth soccer players in Central Maine. This is accomplished by qualified coaches emphasizing a positive soccer learning experience and respect for the rules of the game.

As the organization continues its growth we welcome all new players, coaches and volunteers.
